about us

When I met and married my husband, I also gained a wonderful new family. Being from Peru, they introduced me to wonderful Peruvian traditions, cuisine, and artistry. It seemed only natural that I somehow bring this culture to the States.

Before the birth of my first daughter, my mother-in-law showered me with gifts, but one stands out in my mind. She brought me a bundle of Peruvian burp cloths. The only burp cloth I had seen before was the old-fashioned cloth diaper, sometimes with a ribbon or monogram. But these were different. I could instantly feel the softness of the cotton and appreciate the perfect shape. From then on, I asked her to bring me anything and everything she could when she traveled to Peru. Through this, I discovered my favorite kid’s pajamas, beautiful smocked dresses, hand crocheted sweaters, and super soft cotton.

After a while, she mentioned that we should start a company selling all these Peruvian items we loved. And so we're starting with Pima cotton baby clothes. That is how Pima Threads began.

With two children of my own and plenty of friends with babies and children, I want to give moms the quality and beauty that every baby deserves. As we continue to grow, so will our selections. I encourage you to sign up for our email specials so you stay updated on our promotions, new products, and other Pima Threads happenings.
